Re: 30 days Look-in Period

I have purchase a policy from HDFC Life Insurance on 16th October 2011. On 22nd October 2011 I got a call that your Bond has been sent to your address through “Tri chakra courier” within 3- 4 days you will get it. But I didn’t get the bond. I call to customer care so many times in November 2011 but didn’t get satisfactory answer.
On 16th November 2011 I’ve get a computerized call that your bond has return to us with the note “address sifted”.
Then I call to customer care and tell them that my address is the same as mentioned in the form, how can you say that address has been sifted?
They give me a complaint no. and tell, within 15 days you will get your bond.
On 26th of November 2011 I get the bond through “Overnite express”. I open the bond and read it I found that I’ve been cheated. As per the commitment of the HDFC people ( Vishal Malhorta –Cell no. 08826245860 & Vikash Kapoor cell no. 09560004553) there is not any single word match to their commitment as they told me at the time of selling the policy.
So I decided to cancel the policy and get my money back. On 28th of November 2011 I went to the HDFC Life Halwasia Court Lucknow office. They told me that your look-in period is over and you cannot cancel the policy, I told them that I have 30 days look-in period after receiving the policy bond as per mentioned in the bond. On 29th November I again went the branch after so many arguments they received the policy with an application and told me that the consumer grievance cell will look into the matter within 10 days you will get the call from there.
You are requested please look into the matter and do the need full ASAP.
