My relative purchased vedeocon refrigerator in May 2008 worth Rs 9000 from the dealer in Nadapuram, kozhikode dt, kerala.
Now It is not working. at first servicer said it is due to complaint of Relay and repair may cost Rs 700, after bargaining it is decreased to rs 530. After it is repaired he said it maybe the complaint of gas. it is to be refill and it will cost more than 1000. it is recorde in their guarantee card only the compressor of equiipment has warantee of 6 years. any other component has no warranty and free of service charge after one year.

but I say, if a product worthig such a big amout (rs 9000) will decay within this short perioed, is there no right to consumer to exchange it or repair with free of cost.

I seek you a reply from you Is there any chance to get a positive approach to the customer, in this case, from the consumer court.
