DTH Smart Card Number : 200977304755 I got a Reliance Digital TV subscription on 18th June,2013 evening. On activation I realized that my surname was incorrectly specified “Malotra” instead of “Malhotra”. The date of birth again was specified as 6 Feb 1980 instead of 6 Sept 1986. There was a spelling mistake in Address – Vivek Vihar was mentioned as “Vivek Bihar”. This despite the fact that I had give a copy of driving license with all the correct information. When I called up customer care to rectify all 3 they refused to change name & date of birth. Further I was informed that change of address would cost 50 INR.
Incorrect name/dob & spelling mistake in address would cause problems in transfer of connection in future when I move from one rented place to another. I have already paid for the yearly subscription.
I want all 3 to be rectified free of charge, since I had given a copy of driving license with all the current information. All mistakes were committed by Reliance personnel in entering the info in their system.
