I would like to bring into your notice the malpractice followed by Reliance communications. Sharing with you the horrifying experience which caused me mental trauma in last 6-days!!! Thought to lodge a complaint against the ‘errant customer handling’ method they follow these days, which caused mental harassment to me! Case: I got a call on 9th July 2013 from a number saying Reliance will file a 420/ 424 case against me in Delhi high court!! With file number DL420/24 and that they sent some summons at my home address!! She gave me the mobile number of Mr. R.C. Gautam (+91-88 0233 7792, 080 3232 7778, +91 75 0381 1718) to discuss about the case. That kept me wondering…so I called up Mr. R.C Gautam! Got to know that Reliance communication filed 420-case of Rs 15,000 against me for non-payment of monthly bill! The bill amount was Rs 1060. History____ I opted for Reliance landline + broadband WiFi connection at my home. However the one I got was wired one (problem on the very first day). With the new connection I faced many issues. There was hardly any resolution from Reliance team. Landline, I got after 3-4 weeks that too after half a-dozen follow-ups! They even didn’t reply to my mails. So within 2-months I decided to close the connection. I sent a ‘Closing of A/C Number: 100116959386’ mail to broadband@relianceada.com mail id on 26th Jul 2011. As usual nothing happened. I called to their customer care and repeated the same message to close down the connection. All in vain. Finally I stopped making payment as they were not ready to close down the connection. After some weeks I got a call from customer care to surrender the equipments. Which I did. From my side, I *clearly* conveyed the message to close their services but they didn’t do it! There was NO ACTION taken by Reliance team. ________________________________________________ Getting back to the case: Reliance didn’t attend my request and close the connection. How can they give a threatening call saying a fraud case? Threatening me to forward the file for 420/ 424 case against me is a black page for me. In my lifetime I hated ‘fraud’ word…and if it is associated with me… it troubles! Its Reliance team which are/ were at the false end: 1) False commitment: Reliance agent told me about Wireless connectivity. He promised me that some reliance person will come to my premise and configure my wireless modem. Reality: Later got to know that Reliance DO NOT provides wireless modem/ connection! Nobody turned up after initial connection even after many calls!! 2) Customer care Reality: They hardly entertain any query. Even the reply to my online complaints were stereotyped (copy-pasted) of generic messages. I mailed 6-7 times, lodged many complaints… but NO response! I got only ‘copy-paste’ messages saying –“your query will be resolved in 48-hours” !!! 3) Partial Service Reality: Even though I paid for landline + broadband connection, for ~1.5
