I am a customer of PSPCL(Punjab State Power Corporation Limited) with abovesaid account number. My electricity meter got defective and was replaced by department in the month of July 2010. My last three bills have been generated on average basis. In my last bill dtd 09.08.2010, the new (closing) reading was gven as 269. However, in my current bill old (opening) reading is given as 3 and new (closing) reading is given as 1230. The total consumption should be 1230-269 = 961 units but the bill is generated at consumption of 2027 units (amount is Rs. 11860/-).

I had contacted the PSPCL office of my area (Jalandhar Cantt) but they refused to provide any help or to provide any details as to why the bill has been generated like this. Moreover, they refused to accept my written complaint in this regard. So,i have paid my bill in full today (due to last date).

Request you to please look into the matter and arrange to do the needful on priority. Alternately, please forward this mail to the appropriate authority with a copy to me.
