have a Samsung Core I8262 phone bought in September 2013. On a day my phone got shut-down and restarted automatically so I thought that I should get it checked with the service centre. Hence I submitted the phone to Nehru place service centre. Later on they informed me that it will take Rs 1280. Since the phone was new and under warranty we told them to fix the phone under warranty to which they denied and said that the customer is supposed to bear these charges. We told them to wait, so that we could discuss & let them know if we want it to be repaired. Few days later we got a call from service centre informing that they will charge only Rs 600 to fix the phone. I did not give the confirmation immediately but later on when I called the customer care to give my confirmation they informed me that their system is showing Rs 1280 and the executive with me wanted to have a confirmation from the service centre on the amount. He put my phone on hold and once he came back he told me that the system is showing Rs 1280 by mistake the amount they will charge for the same is Rs 12,800. Point to note here is that I have bought the phone in Rs 11,900. Hence the repairing cost becomes more than the cost of the phone. When I ask why so much of money they told me that there is presence of moisture/water in the phone. I escalated this to Samsung to which they told us to take the phone back from Nehru Place service centrer and show it to any other service centre in India. He also mentioned that he will do certain consideration for their mistake. However when I went to the other service centre he did not entertain my call. Additionally, I have a copy of Samsung worksheet created by Nehru Place centre with comments mentioned that the water has been dispensed by the service centre with the signature of Samsung Service centrer employee. Now I want my phone repaired by Samsung Service Centre free of cost for whatever they did to it. Also should mention that while the phone was submitted to Nehru Place service centre it was switched off due to low batter and hence they did not even bothered to charge it and check instead mentioned “Phone received dead” which is not the case even today.
