Dear Sir, 1. I had purchased a new 32 inch Samsung LED TV, Model No UA 32D 5000, Regd No 400387, from Esquire Electronics, Star Plaza, Shop No3-4, Bachcha Park, Meerut vide Bill No 196 dt 23.04 2011. 2. So far I was using the TV only in the component mode along with STB of Dish TV. The AV port of the TV was never used by me. However, on changing the STB of Satellite TV in Nov 2013, when the TV was required to be run on AV mode, it did not function well. I lodged a complaint with your customer care and your service engineer visited me at my residence at Sriganganagar (Adrress : Col GS Bedi; House No 186/3; Bhagat Enclave; Sadhuwali cantt; Sriganganagar (Rajasthan) Mob No – 7727016101). He told me that the AV port is not working and he will have to change the card. He further told me that I will have to bear the cost of the card and repairs since the warranty of the TV has expired.
Sir, I would like to submit that I have never used the AV function of the TV since the time TV was bought. It was tried for the first time while using a new STB, when it was found to be faulty. Further more, while buying the TV, functioning of AV port was not got checked by me from your authorized dealer and it was bought on faith as I thought the TV is from a very well reputed manufacturer. Though the problem of the AV port is existing since the time the TV was bought, however, has been noted recently when I tried to use it. Therefore, demanding cost of repair from me is not genuine. Therefore, may I request you to look into the matter and get my TV repaired at the earliest, free of cost.
I would also like to mention that I am a very old consumer of Samsung products as all my appliances including three TVs, one microwave, mobiles and three ACs are all of Samsung.
