Samsung Mobile Ordered on Kaunsa.Com Not Delivered

I ordered a mobile phone (Samsung S5610 Primo)in December from their website (kaunsa.com). After an inordinate delay it was finally delivered to me on January 11th 2013. Unfortunately what was delivered to me was a refurbished product. I immediately complained to them and after a lot of delay and multiple reminders(approximately 3 months) they asked me to submit proof to indicate that the product is a refurbished one. I submitted the in-voice (as provided by them) and also the company’s warranty card which clearly stated that the product is refurbished. From then onwards the standard reply that I get whenever I contact them is that “the issue is escalated to the vendor & that they are awaiting a response from them”. It has been close to two months now that I am hearing this and have realized that I have hit a dead end and that the company has cheated me.

The website is cheating customers by sending refurbished products instead of a new one. As a result I have ended up with an “old” phone instead of a new phone. This has created a lot of mental anguish. The compound matters the company is not at all interested in resolving the complaint.

Refund of what I have paid for the phone and a suitable penalty (as deemed fit by the Government) to be levied on them so that other customers are not taken for a ride & get cheated.
