I bought a Nokia Lumia 730 handset from Shopno47.com, a company owned by Sangeetha Mobiles on Oct 10, 2014 vide invoice no. SI/B47/1109. On Oct 11, while inserting the SIM in the slot, I realised that the pins on the SIM tray were broken. I immediately reported this to Sangeetha Mobiles via e-mail on Oct 11, 2014 8:52PM. Since this was beyond business hours, I called Sangeetha on Monday, Oct 13 and they arranged to collect the mobile on Oct 14. After a lot of follow up, finally I was informed on Oct 27 that the phone cannot be repaired / replaced under warranty as Nokia thinks that I broke the mobile. There are no visible marks of a fall or any force used, only pins are broken. They simply say that they do not supply faulty product. Sangeetha has also sold me an insurance with the phone which insures against physical damage (https://shopno47.com/47-care/insurance.html) but they refuse to process it saying this is a case of negligence. The phone contains slots for micro SIM which are so small that one can barely hold it, let alone exert pressure with it. It is impossible to break the pins without any marks of damage on any other parts or the tray itself.
I want the particular phone repaired / replaced with no affect to the continued warranty and insurance, free of charge.
