I have a account in Shrinagar SBI branch, we wanted to transfer the account to HSR 6th sector branch and also have a safe locker facility. When I enquired in the HSR branch they told they can give safe locker facility if I do Fixed Deposit of 1 Lack(minimum). They are telling its mandatory to have fixed deposit. I visited SBI site, there is no such rule exists. Why can not SBI follow the RBI rules or they don’t even follow their own rule.

I want to open the the safe locker in SBI without doing the 1L fixed deposit.
