SnapDeal – Non Refund of Money poor customer care

1. I ordered a Creative IN-EAR Earphones EP-630 (Black) with order number 2439819962 on 15th July ’14 as a gift for my colleague leaving for USA on 21st July. 2.On 19th July I receive a mail stating that delivery attempt failed as no was available at the address, when I was there the whole day. Nevertheless, I gave asked them to deliver me the next day. No one arrived. 3. I called snapdeal and the courier service on 21st July and requested to deliver the product that day, gave the courier people an alternate phone number too. Again no one arrived. 4.I called to snapdeal on 23rd to cancel the order. They said that the courier service had returned the product and they will refund me the amount. On 24th I get a mail saying the money will be refunded within 48 hours. 5. Again on 31st I get another mail saying that last attempt at delivery failed, they have received the item and will process the refund within 48 hours. I was surprised as we had already established tat fact on 24th and it should have already been refunded. But I decided to wait. 6.I waited till 8th August before making another phone call. I called them at 9 am, 8 Aug and asked about the status and the customer care executive had no clue about any refund status or the status of the order. I asked to raise a complaint and to connect me to their manager as more than 2 weeks had passed from the 1st mail I got on 24th and I was also worried by the response of the executive who had no knowledge of the order. They said that their manager/senior was busy and I will receive a call back within 2 hours. I never received any call. 7.I called them the next day on 9th and was surprised to hear that no complaint had been filed or raised the previous day. I asked them to register a complaint and transfer the call to manager. Again the same reply saying the manager was busy and I will receive a phone call within 4 hours. They registered a complain with token number 2439819962. They didn’t call back. 8. I called on 10th and again the same reply and again I didn’t receive a call. This time I had also given them an alternate number (8018444559)which was also the number given on my snapdeal account as I thought due to some reason they might not be finding me on other number I had given for the order. They didn’t call. 9.But I chose to wait for 48 working hours, in case it gets resolved. When nothing happened, I called on 12th Aug. On that they, they tell me that they have to cancel the order and then refund. I asked them what they have been doing all these days and what were the mails about. This shows their lack of knowledge and careless attitude. They again asked for 48 hours and again didn’t transfer my call to their manager. When they said that they will call back, I mentioned them the stress I had gone through and how they never call back. I also again gave them alternate numbers as I would be deactivating the other number in some days. By that time I had already stated thrice that I

In view of the submissions contained in the preceding paragraphs, the complainant most respectfully prays to the Hon’ble Forum to direct the Opposite Party to : (a) pay the amount I had paid for the unfulfilled order, Rs. 625 along with 18 % interest ; (b) pay a sum of Rs. 150 towards the call charges.; (c) pay a sum of Rs. 5,000/- towards the physical strain and mental agony suffered by the complainant and his family members (compensation). for which act of kindness, the complainant shall, as is duty bound, ever pray.
