I had purchased my Sony VAIO laptop from Kolkata. The LCD display of the Laptop was damaged due to unknown reasons, I was in Gurgaon (Delhi NCR) during that time. I had gone to the nearest service center and they weren’t of any help, as they say that though my Laptop is in the ‘Warranty Period’, but warranty doesn’t cover physical damages. I called up Sony service centre from there itself, and 2 customer service agents, after listening to my query, disconnected my call. During the 3rd call, I asked for the manager. I was transferred to a Lead who told me to email my query with photo proofs to “sonyindia.care@ap.sony.com” and someone would get back to me within the next 2-3 business days with the best possible resolution to this. I had sent the email on 28/10/2013. Its 2-3 months now, and still I haven’t got any response. I sent a further email on 24/11/2013, even which was of no use. I had also called up Sony Headquarters, who promised me a callback within the next 30 mins, which I still haven’t received.
I want this to be sorted out as soon as possible now, or Sony, later would have an excuse once a year’s warranty period has passed. I would appreciate if I could directly have a talk with the Manager of Sony India, and he could send someone from the technical team to repair it, since its still in the Warranty Period, if not, then replace it or take it back for a refund.
