Dear Sir/Ma’am, Being a consicous and aware citizen of my country, I decided to seek redressal. I purchased a Sony Xperia Go device, on January 21, 2013. The phone worked all fine till 1 year. After an year, it started misbehaving and finally broke down. I went to the authorised service centre, where I was told that, being a waterproof phone, they haven’t got the authority to repair it. In response to it, I called up the customer care and asked them to resort to my issues, where I was told that it was not repairable and only replaceable. I asked them to replace and they said that they can’t do that because the company has not got any device in spare to replace it with. I wrote an email to the xperiacare, to which they replied and said that, often the replacement cost is higher than the original cost of the phone and so I should exchange it with a new device. Being from a middle class background, I cannot afford a setback like this of rs. 14,490. I request you to take action against my complaint and enforce the company to either repair my phone or replace it with a phone with similar price bracket. I would like to mention, I wasn’t told anything about the after sales service of this particular product. Nothing was told by the authorised dealer or by the company. Please look into it as soon as possible. Thank you
To either repair it or replace it with a similar phone of similar price bracket(without any extra charge, as I was never in fault).
