Dear CORE, I’ve bought a Sony Xperia ZL in the month of November from Patiala. The phone was for Rs 29900/-. After buying the phone I had to come to Srilanka on an official assignment. However, Just within 7 days of the purchase the phone has just switched off and is not switching on. I checked up on the internet as to what could be the problem. I later came to know that this problem has been reported by thousands of customers worldwide against in which they are calling it as “Sudden Death of Xperia Z Series”. You can check up the same on various forums like NDTV gadgets , XDA developers etc where the consumers have reported this problem in May-jun 2013. Even after this the company has continued to sell the phone and I’ve a non functional phone due to non -withdrawal of a defective phone from the market. I contacted the company and they said that the problem can only be solved when I visit India back in Jun 2014. Now I’m facing serious problem here in Srilanka since I’m at a remote place in the rural part of the country for an official mission. Waiting uptill June 2014 means that I have to buy another phone till next six months.
I would request you to ask the company to dispatch an agent to come with a replacement phone or refund my money immediately. The company will have to send an agent from India for the same, but the issue is that my complete work has come to a stand still because of a defect already known to company
