I had booked three tickets for Kolkata to Port Blair for departure on the 17th of December 2014. The flight was supposed to depart around 10 am. PNR- CEEBPR, ZBTCMA As our origin was from Bhubaneswar, we had started off in the night of 16th December from Bhubaneswar via train and reached in the morning around 5 am. While on the way to the airport, we received a message from Spice Jet informing that the flight has been cancelled and to call a number so that the airline could make alternate arrangements. We reached the airport and there was nobody at the Spice jet counter to answer queries. Nor was the Airport Authority answerable/available. Many other customers were facing the same problem. Calling up the numbers 987180xxx and 965400xxx did not elicit any response. After waiting 6 hours, we had to log in to the website of Spice Jet and cancel our tickets.

Complete reimbursement from Spice Jet for all expenses related to the flight which was cancelled, and subsequent loss of money due to the cancellation of the said flight. 1.Hotel booking cost totaling Rs 15,843/- 2.Cost of stay in Kolkata till the time we could make alternate arrangements(including and not limited to Hotel, Travel to hotel and back, food and return tickets to hometown.)- Rs 3000 3.Cost of cancellation of return flight tickets- Rs 8,000/- 4.Cost of return train tickets- Rs 2,000/- 5.Loss of holidays which could not be put to any use, as leaves applied for at the company cannot be taken back.-Rs 1,60,000/- 6.Mental agony and physical discomfort caused- Rs 3,00,000/-
