Spicejet – Friends / Family Cancellation, No refund

I am Vivek Singh, and on Friday 04th July 2014, I had booked Spicejet tickets for three of my relatives. SG-854. Sector Delhi-Ahmedabad (flying on Friday, 26th September 2014) from my AMEX card. The name of the passengers are as follows: PNR: Y5RJFC 1. Mr. Deepak Bhutani 2. Ms Prem Bhutani 3. Ms Asha Gera The ticket cost me Rs.9183 Call 1 Today, on September 21st 2014, I called up Spicejet to cancel two passengers from this booking, Viz – Mr. Deepak Bhutani and Ms. Asha Gera. But I was surprised to hear the Spicejet executive Nafeez tell me that he won’t be able to cancel two passengers from this booking because this booking was done under Spicejet’s ‘Friends and Family Special’. This was really weird as while booking I clearly remember, to avail benefits of this scheme, one had to book a minimum of 4 passengers on a single PNR. Besides, I had not even got the promised 25% discount on the tickets as promised under the ‘Friends and Family Special’ scheme. When I explained all this to Nafeez, he refused to accept this and kept saying that nothing can be done about it and that this booking was under ‘Friends and Family Special’ scheme only. I then asked to speak to his supervisor. Again I was dissuaded from doing so. Nafeez said “My senior would also say the same thing so there’s no point in talking to him.” But then after a lot of insistence his senior Mr. Ashok Kumar came on line. He too maintained that my booking was done under ‘Friends and Family Special’ scheme. But since I had not booked the tickets under this scheme I argued so and finally, Ashok Kumar said that he will speak to his seniors and by tomorrow morning I will get a feedback on this. I then hung up and went to check the tickets and Spicejet website. Nowhere on my ticket it was mentioned that I’d done the bookings under the ‘Friends and Family Special’ scheme. Neither could I see any 25% special discount offered to me on this booking. I then went on www.spicejet.com and was stunned to see the ‘Friends and Family Special’ scheme clearly mentioning ‘Presenting a Friends and Family Special. Now travel with your friends and loved ones this summer and get up to 25% off on base fare when you book for 4 or more people together. ‘ So if in my booking there were only 3 passengers, how did my booking turn into a ‘Friends and Family Special’ scheme??? Why was it not mentioned on my ticket??? Where’s the special 25% discount??? Call 2 Then I again called Spicejet and my call was answered by a Spicejet executive named Tarun. I asked for the cancellation of 2 passengers and he also mentioned the same thing that my booking was done under the ‘Friends and Family Special’ scheme. So I told him that I’m sitting in front of my laptop and Spicejet’s ‘Friends and Family Special’ scheme page is open in front of me and it clearly mentions that to avail of this scheme one needs to book a minimum of 4 passengers, so ho

I want Spicejet to Cancel 2 passengers from the PNR and refund me the money of these two passengers.
