SRS Travels – Service Deficiency – Review

Dear Sir, I had booked my Bus ticket online to travel from Bangalore to Karkala through online booking portal of SRS Travels (www. srsbooking.com). Ticket number 8262495 booked on 27/12/2014 06:50 PM. travel date 17/01/2015 9.00 pm. Payment was done online through credit card. I had received a call from SRS travels on the day of journey at about 18.21 hr to inform that they have changed the bus route and i cannot travel to Karkala. They were suggesting to get down at Mangalore & make my own arrangement to reach my destination. When I objected to that they said “then you find another bus”.

If I had to travel only part of the journey no part refund will be provided. I had booked this ticket in advance, and booked sleeper for a specific health reason. Knowing very well that if they inform me at the last minute i will not be able to get any sleeper seats in other buses they delayed informing me about the change. Forcing me to travel only till half way & make my own arrangement for further journey. In addition, during the journey had to face humiliation from the driver for booking to Karkala at Gandhinagar bus station. Asking us get out of the bus & take permission from the local office before getting on to bus because we had ticket to Karkala. As if it’s our fault to book ticket. In addition, I also found out during the journey that even though the bus was not supposed to travel via Mangalore, they had booked several seats from Bangalore to Mangalore, which very clearly indicates that the route change was done much earlier but with wrong intension passengers who had booked to Karlkala were not informed.

Was forced to get down half way & use local transport from Padubidri to Karkala. As a result reached late to my cousin’s wedding. the very reason for the travel. Mental stress In addition, had booked in sleeper because my Aunt who was travelling with me has back pain & doctor had advised her not travel in seater. But she was forced to use the local bus from Padubidri due to the poor, unethical service of SRS travels.

Repeated emails complaints to company went un-answered. As a deterrent to such opportunistic, “don’t care about customer” behaviour & to compensate the trouble, mental stress & humiliation that I & my relatives (who had accompanied me in the same journey) had to face.
