I took a Medi Classic Health Insurance Policy ( Individual)No. P/151115/01/2012/000038 valid from 13/04/2019 to Midnight of 12/04/2020 and Accident Care Policy Schedule – Individual No. P/151115/02/2012/000006 valid from 00:00 on 13/04/2019 to 12/04/2020.

These are for myself and my spouse Chandraprabha and my son Rahul. The insurance policies are from Star Health & Allied Insurance Company Ltd Contact. I have been continuing this policy for last three years e.g. from 2019- 20, 2020-21. I received a letter dated 12th March, 2020 from the Insurance Company’s Aurangabad Maharashtra Office reminding me to renew my policy before 14th April. I received the reminder on 15th May, 2012 through Trackon couriers. I took up the matter with Insurance company’s Aurangabad ( Maharashtra ) office. The Office staff agreed that I genuinely received late information . I was asked to pay premium of Rs. 16,787/- to company’s Pune office. I deposited the amount as asked on 16th May, 2020. Today the Star Health & Allied Insurance Company’s Aurangabad office informed me that my policy can not be continuously renewed. The company will give me new policy without medical test. It means I will not get benefit of policy continuing since 2019-20 for no fault of mine.I am under tremendous stress as I am retiring on 31st May, 2021. Hence, this complaint for redressal ASAP.
