My family is being harassed by Sumit cable /DigiCable to pay higher monthly charges since 1st July 2013, despite several requests to offer Basic Package only and filling requisite forms. Initially I was told that there is no basic package and minimum charge is Rs 230 per TV per month and the forms were provided after lot of persuasion. I was forced to pay Rs 920 for two TVs for 2 months. Even after informing Sumit Cable and Digicable several timnes that I am not interested to continue to avail services and requesting disconnection unless I am given only the basic package, I have neither been given the basic package nor my cable connection has been disconnected. Now I am again being harassed to pay at the same rate for subsequent months unless I surrender my set top boxes for which I had paid Rs 1100 each. I don’t think I need to return the set top box for disconnection. Several phone calls haved been made to Digicable’s office and the Local Cable operator (Sumit cable), my wife and father have visited their office also, but the harassment does not seem to end.

Warn SumitCable / DigiCable to stop harassment of my wife and father during my absence. Provide the Basic package with selected few additional channels as advertised in DigiCable’s own forms. Accept payment since 1st July at the rates of Rs 125 per month per TV (Rs 100 + Service tax = approx Rs 125)or disconnect my cable connection without inisting on surrendering the set top boxes for which I have already paid Rs 1100 each. Rs 125 x 2 TVs x 4 months = Rs 1,000 till Oct end. We have alredy paid Rs 920.
