My son B.Narendran,after completing the plus two examination on april 2008,applied for the course in TNAU,coimbatore. TNAU sent a letter for counselling on 16-06-08. He got a B.Tech course in Agricultural Information Technology (AIT) in counselling and he paid Rs.2000 for counselling charge.
Then,college commencement letter came. At the time of fees paid,I asked them whether the counselling fees Rs.2000 will be reduced from the first semester fees like The Government Engineering and Medical colleges. They did not accept my demand.
So, my son paid Education feesRs.35,400 + Hostel fees Rs.5345=Total fees Rs.40,745 for the first semester and joined on 23-07-08 in B.Tech.AIT course in TNAU.
Myself and my son also signed in the joint declaration form, suppose if he discontinues after joining the course,he will get only caution deposit amount and hostel fees as per number of days stayed in the hostel.
After joining and attending the class upto 04-08-2008 in TNAU,he discontinued from the course in TNAU and joined in B.Tech Food Processing Technology in Tamilnadu Veterinary University,Chennai.
I asked TNAU to return the fees paid by us but refused to return the fees and they told us that we will get only caution deposit which will be sent to our account number later.
Then ,I noticed an advertisement in “THE HINDU” newspaper given by AICTE,New Delhi. So,I wrote a letter to TNAU,Coimbatore to return the fees as per AICTE norms. TNAU had sent caution deposit Rs.3000 and Hostel fees Rs.1450 only.
Then,I gave petition to the honorable chief minister of Tamilnadu and the honorable agriculture minister of Tamilnadu.
Then,I complained to the AICTE,New Delhi.
Then ,I sent a notice through advocate.
But I got only reply letters ,and did not got the balance amount .
So, I now bring this matter for your kind attention and please , help me to get back the fees proportionately. Proportionately means that they can take fees for 13 days only (23-07-2008 to 04-08-2008) .The remaining fees to be paid as per AICTE norms.
