The Indian Government Office of Telecom Regulatory Authority has no info to Customers on how to report SPAM SMS that have started in Huge Numbers lately. I suspect this is due to the rampant corruption in the Central Government because of in action of only vocal Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi without any action on field.

For example in the information brochure on registering complaints “HOW TO REGISTER A COMPLAINT” they don’t even mention on how to register complaint for SMS received from Short Codes. This happens because of the lethargic officers occupying plum positions in TRAI without any regards for consumers.

TRAI / Government of India does not want to take any Accountability and they always put it back on the Businesses. For Example, Telecom Service Providers have been mandated to operate 1909 help line. What will the Government then do with the Universal Service Obligation Fund ?
