UMI Mobiles – Non Delivery of UMI X2 SmartPhone – No Customer Service

I paid Rs. 500/- on 18/04/2013 to book a mobile phone called UMI X2 that was being launched by UMI India. They later intimated me to pay the balance of Rs. 13,500/- on 13/05/2013. On the same day, I paid Rs. 13,500/- thru credit card and they confirmed order and conveyed that shipment would be done within 7 days. Now, even after 2 months from paying the full amount, they have not delivered the mobile phone. They are not answering calls

I am paying interest to my credit card issuer as I had converted the amount of Rs. 13,500/- into emi of 6 months with 6% flat interest. I booked the phone as it was advanced. Now many phones with similar features have been launched. I came to know from facebook, where there is a page for UMI india, that they have not refunded the money to many peopple who have cancelled their orders due to non-delivery.

I would request that an order be passed on UMI to immediately provide me the mobile free of cost and reimburse the payment done in order to compensate for the inordinate delay and mental stress caused.
