Your kind attention is drawn in the matter as regard Disbursement of monthly pension subsequent to revision done as per CIRCULAR NO :430 DATED 10.03.2010 IMPROVEMENT IN THE PENSION TO BRIDGE THE GAP IN PENSION OF PRE 01-01-2006 AND POST 01-010-2006 DISCHARGED PERSONNEL BELOW OFFICER RANK (PBOR) OF ARMED FORCES.It is seen that the revision of pension carried out in my case has serious anomaly and instead of revising my existing DEFENCE (NAVY) Pension from Rs. 5104.00 toRs 6470.00 your bank has drastically reduced it to a figure that reads as Rs 4840.00I am to enclose alongside Pensions slips for the month of July & and narration on arrears paid thereof in August 2010.While the Pensions paid up to July 2010 were correct but the August Pensions indicate Under Payment of Service Pension to the tune of Rs.2201( including DR @ 35%.

May I ask why the wrong revision has been done ? Firstly no timely adherence to the guidelines as quoted vide above circular was done and somehow finally when done after a long delay wrong fixations even vis-à-vis ready reckoner provided by the Pensions authorities have not been exacted orconscientiously complied with , taken correct note of and duly recorded thus leaving most pensioners high and dry as has been learnt. It is not understood even though the Pension Authorities spared no single effort and had circulated the said circular well before time for Banks to strictly comply but your Bank has been complacent in not banking professionally what a common man or pensioners expects a BANK of your repute ought to do .Further to this I am to draw your focussed attention to Table 89 Page 114(copy enclosed) of the CIRCULAR NO 430 DATED 10.03.2010 wherein my pension having retired as CPO is clearly indicated and in this regard your attention is drawn to the copy of the Corrigendum PPO CORR/09/97/B/S/00051/1993 DATED 08/09/1993 (copy enclosed) notifying your bank of the revision in Pension in respect of Personal NO 141464 K Rank CPO way back in the year 1993 then how such a grave blunder is committed from your end Instead of fixing my Pension vis-à-vis Table 89 Page 114 which your Bank has completely overlooked and ignored and inadvertently it appears either Table 86 or 87 Page 111 or 112 of the said circular seems to have been referred to which is the table strictly for Personnel who last had held PO Rank and which is irrelevant in my case since my having had retired as CPO and not as PO .

Thereforein view of the Corrigendum PPO CORR/09/97/B/S/00051/1993 DATED 08/09/1993 which expressly speaks of all future fixations based on the Rank as it interprets last held as being CPO why the corrigendum PPO was not taken in to account and side-lined may be vividly explained .It appears your Bank other than disbursement of monthly Pensions subjects poor Pensioners to undue hardship ignoring their plight .It is an irony that though Bureau of sailors Cheetah campMankhurd Mumbai CDA (P) Allahabad from time to time notifies changes /amendments asking all PSBs towards timely revision and compliance but the apathy is that that your bank mostly delays in fixations and let alone timely disbursement of arrears unlike the other PSBs which are way ahead of you At the time of retirement Bureau of sailors Cheetah camp Mumbai despatches complete Pension File of all retirees to their respective PSBs which in turn is ought to be maintained by the said branch then how come the said corrigendum was ignored and pension so erroneously fixed in the Rank reducing it from Rs.6470.00(revised pension for a CPO) to Rs.4840.00(revised pension for a PO) Pension cell is required to document all details and fix Pensions in accordance with the instructions given by the Pension Disbursing Authorities and not otherwise. It is the duty of the Bank to document all copies of Circulars /Addendum/ Corrigendum /Orders and all such notifications relevant and applicable to all categories of pensioners received from time to time by your Bank instead of showing Banking professionalism what actually has been exhibited is sheer element of complacency and as to how naïve an attitude your bank can adopt causing immense hardship to thousand others like me .A copy of which ought to be part & parcel there in my Pension file held with youis completely overlooked and ignored which raises a question in my mind as to if I should cease to draw and start drawing my pensions from some other PSB.for your having given me this hardship.

Now therefore I am to request you to kindly set right the anomaly at once and arrive my revised pension to read as Rs.6470.00 with reference to the above corrigendum in the rank as CPO(special Group-Aviation) and not PO and release differential arrears thereof without further delay ( REFER Table 89 Page 114(copy enclosed) of the CIRCULAR NO 430 DATED 10.03.2010)table corresponding to 15years length of total service and pension after revision arrived w.e.f 1.7.2009 to read as has been indicated in column 12 thereof.

Looking forward to your kind cooperation & early compliance please .

Yours faithfully

There are multitudes of pensioners with so many grievances and the SBI j being the largest bank has been doing nothing about it AND ALREADY TWO MONTHS HAVE LAPSED .Set right the anomaly and start crediting the pension as per my entitlement kind attention is drawn to a letter UNDER REF NO: BR/GOA/165 DTD 2/9/10 sent to your end form SBI VASCO BRANCH GOA .
