Unwanted messages in spite of DNC charging !

Sub: Complaint reg. mob. No 9974830689- Unsolicited messages in spite of NDND

REGISTRATION – UNJUST charges raised ag. Unsolicited massages- problems in

accessing / lodging complaints.

1. I have a very serious complaint against yr. services & system. In brief:

(i) My NDNC registered on 08-11-2010. Regd. No. 1023750083

(ii) I got uncalled for massages in Oct. 2011. That was from Airtel Mirchi. In spite of many efforts I could not lodge complaint thro. Mobile customer care no 121 – due to yr system failure –to stop that & to get reversion of charges. Finally I sent an e-mail. In response U had reversed the amount on 14-1-2011. I was also promised that such events will not recur. However, this time again, from 22-11-2011. I started getting unsolicited “Chutkula” messages. Efforts were in vain to contact given no.s for stopping them. As before Customer care was of no help.Yr. 97245 34865 gave lot of options. Not v. clear. None gave how to lodge a complaint NOR how to contact yr. Nodal officer for complaint. Yr land-line no. 079 40090300 remains unattended. There seems NO facility – even postal address where one can lodge a complaint. Pl give such references for future use of a common man. U should also broing out & supply a leaflet giving guidance on how to stop such unwanted messages & to complain.

(iii) I had recharged my mobile on 25-10-201. All the a/m was consumed in these unsolicited “Chutkulas”- Rs. 3/ per DAY !!!–May be some to be debited in future -to be paid later- a/cs.

2. As a result am unable to use my mobile. Not able to lodge complain. Not able to recharge as well for the apprehension that the recharged a/m will also be absorbed by unwanted chutkulas!!

3. This is the second such event in a short time ! In spite of yr. promise to block unwanted messages. In a very short time !! Also a Great mental tension & sad for NOT being ABLE TO USE THE MOBILE !!

4. Options before me – use portability facility to change mobile company . OR go to consumer court for reversing unjust charges & for damages.

5. Before that, I wish to request you if U could do something . Am told many such cases in Airtel but no remedy !! This is certainly a headache to Sr. Citizens like me.

6. U must also provide facility by which it is easy & simple to lodge complaints . And Do NOT disturb/ call facility registered once should be honoured for ever. Kindly act promptly.

7. I do NOT wish to change from AIRTEL NOR intend going to consumer court for damages if I get a satisfactory response.
