From, Asim Kumar Mohapatra Sanpada, Navi Mumbai Videocon Customer ID: 17804436 Dear Sir/Madam, Background: When I got my Videocon STB installed years back. Look at the tragedy, my Videocon TV didn’t go well with the STB resulting in excessive brightness and white patch. On repeated complain and bring the issue to higher ups, Mr. Shiva of Sagar Electronics (authorized service centre), Sanpada fixed a resistance/diode in my earlier STB. What Happened Recently: But recently, due to color issues, the authorized service centre changed internal card of STB changed for Rs. 400 in December 10, 2013. And the same issue persists as the new card doesn’t have a resistance/diode. On repeated assurance Mr. Shiva of Sagar Electronics (authorized service centre) has never turned up and the problem of excessive brightness and white patch still persists. I visited Sagar Electronics more than 5 times (and called at his cell 9619234730) after getting the internal card of STB changed and requested Mr. Shiva to fix the issue. Initially he used pretense like he has to order a large-size card, and now he only gives false assurance. In the meanwhile, I registered an online complain following which I got a call from a Videocon executive (8451801877), who suggested switching to STB from DVD, but failed to realize that all D2H products might be unfortunately incompatible with my Videocon TV. The STB that you may supply on advance payment for three months may not run a DVD but how come it can guarantee that there won’t be excessive brightness? Videocon executive (8451801877) sent two field staff on February 25, 2014 (9 pm) to give demo of new STB (inactivated) and just viewing home channel I was expected to comment. When I asked what to do next he said “Make payment for 3 months then we will install new STB.” While they are asking to recharge for one year to get new STB. Please note that I have sufficient balance in my account. So I pleaded when I have balance in my AC and especially when I paid for new card for my STB, the installation of new STB SHOULD BE UNCONDITIONAL. Secondly, I also pleaded that the Company’s rule may be appropriate but it is not applicable to an exceptional case like me, as the new card was replaced by Sagar Electronics on Dec 10, 2013 since when I can’t watch TV. On last 07.03.20104, Friday I received a call from Ravindra (40960529), who – after being briefed by me – assured me that he will send a proposal to replace my existing STB with new SD STB following demo with a pre-activated STB. He said that he will get back to me latest by 10.03.2014 (Monday) with a solution. But I am yet to get a call till now. I mailed more than thrice to addressed to Mr. Sudhin Bhartiya, Bharat Business Channel Ltd., Mumbai @ customercare@d2h.com nodalofficer.maharashtra@d2h.com but no solution was given. Despite my repeated complain over this application, phone calls (made to 022-40960529), emails and repeated assurance,
1. New STB should be installed unconditionally, as soon as possible 2. Prorated Refund of Subscription Fees to My Account Deducted from my Account from December 10, 2013 till the Date of Installation of New STB 3. Proper Lesson to both Service Station as well as the people at Customer Care
