I am getting speeds on my Vodafone mobile which are pathetic. Approximately 0.03 kilo bits per sec and once 56 kilo bits per sec at stationary location at home. After taking a 3G data plan for my prepaid number for 30 days 1GB for Rs 251 bought online, i had to wait a few days to even get Vodafone to register my phone number for 3G service. The speed is not even 2G now. Also complaints have been made by email and have not been resolved –complete text of the emails is available as proof. How is the Ministry of Telecom allowing such BLATANT looting is beyond me?

The Rs 251 seems wasted plus the time and money spent checking the service which is non existent. Its a complete FRAUD and waste of MONEY. On top of it, they acknowledge that it will take them a few days just to RESPOND to the complaint. Vodafone Punjab has no 3G service of its own and I have been told to use IDEA 3G service instead with which they have a tieup.

I want Vodafone and similar operators stopped from advertising services which are simply NON existent. I don’t think most consumers are literate enough to even write such complaints at similar GOI sites or even know how to complain, followup and get redressal. This could snowball into a law and order issue.
