Voltas Split AC – Not Cooling Leakage issues – Review

May 2, 2014: Called up the customer care to raise a service request. AC was not cooling and there were leakage issues. The technician of authorized dealer visited and filled the gas. Took the inner and repaired it for any leakages and fitted it back. They charged us Rs. 2500. AC worked for 2 days and stopped working. Asked the customer care to reopen the request again. The technician visited after a lot follow-up calls. Filled up the gas again and made some on the spot small repairs. The AC stopped working after 3 days. Again the request was reopened. The technicians never visited for 4-5 days. After a lot of follow up, they made a visit, and took the outer unit for repair. Fit the outer unit after repair and charged us Rs. 950 for some valve change etc. This time, the technician misbehaved with me and told me that the outer unit is not aptly placed on the outer wall, and asked me to shift it to other wall. I told him that shifting of outer unit will cost me a huge amount and I would not do it as one of the Voltas people has installed it there. He warned me that if I don’t shift my outer unit to the place he wants, he will make sure that from now onwards no one comes and attends our request. When I totally refused to shift the outer unit, the technician told me that the AC which I bought in 2011 for Rs. 40000 is a waste and I should dump it. After the above incident, the AC worked fine for 4-5 days and again stopped working. From that day onwards, we are following up with the customer care, no one is coming to repair the AC.

I want my AC to be repaired and in working condition without paying any more money. OR I would want my money back and any damages for the mental stress caused to me and my family.
