Tata Sky – Mischarges and deactivation – Review

Subscriber ID: 1112302375 There was no signal on the TV.Complaint was registered with Tata Sky & their technician visited my home.The set-top-box is still under warranty. The camera in the dish was defective & was replaced. I was told on the phone that since it under-warranty there is no charge.Later on I received a message on 23/06 that I am being charged Rs. 250 for this visit and they deducted this amount from my account.Today I have got a message that they will deactivate my box if I don’t pay.I have already taken a package valid till end of Aug 14 and they will still deactivate my box even though I have already paid.I have talked to their online help on 23/06 and wrote an email.Till now there is no response.

Reversal of the above mentioned charges of Rs. 250. If they deactivate, then reactivation charges. Fine on Tata Sky for giving inconvenience to customers. Above issue is on one connection. I have another connection which has also started giving problem and is just out of warranty. Its subscriber ID is: 1106618455. I have not asked for the visit of technician as I know I am going to get another such bill. Tata Sky is using sub-standard material in their products. Tata Sky should be compelled to change these boxes which have started giving problems just after expiry of warranty.
