Wales University – Taking extra money, no service

This is to bring to your notice the amount of pain my son and I am undergoing while trying to get a refund of towards the cancellation of our admission from your institute. IN May 2012, my son, Mr.Vishal Das took admission at your institute for the academic period: 2012 -2013 for the course in B.A. (Game development) after clearing a test from Hyderabad. The total fees for whole course was Rs.6, 000, 00(Rs.2, 00,000 per year) and the certificate was to be issued by U.K. University (Wales University). Before taking the admission, it was informed by your college authorities that there would be no examination for 1st/2ndyear. Attached is the copy of my payment receipt done as Annexure I. Following this before the end of 2013, my son has submitted the final project report and it was confirmed by Ms.Rubina (course correspondent) who gave a clearance to my son to visit our home town too. I also paid the 3rdinstallment money to the institute after getting a verbal communication that my son has completed 1st year. Attached is the copy of my payment receipt as Annexure II which in the 3rd receipt issued by the college, was mentioned as 1st installment of 3rd semester (2nd year, 1st installment). Shockingly, when my son attended the college to attend 2nd year class on 2nd September 2013, the college staff have informed that he has failed in 1st year B.A. course of game design and he has to continue in the 1styear itself. No reason for failure was displayed to college nor was it communicated to me or my son even after repeated reminders to the college authoritiesand no mark sheet or registration certificate is given to the student. When I contacted the Wales University, I was told that the certificate would be issued only after college gives clearance w.r.t any student. Attached is the copy of the reply I received from Wales University as Annexure III.After several requests, I got the official reply from the controller of examination regarding the reasons for failure as follows:- 1) His attendance was poor 2) He has not submitted formative assignment and was absent 3) Summative assignment was submitted late I found the reasons surprising and don’t understand how your institute accepted the 3rd installment of the course when the student failed in the first year. How is your institute still ready to retain a student whom you found poor in his performance in the past year? How your concerned person verbally confirmed to me on phone that my son has cleared the year? How could your staff, one Ms. Meena confidently assure me that ‘in future there would be no problems’? What does that exactly mean? All these unusual incidents make me wonder if your institute is doing this only in order to extract more money from us. Later, your authorities informed me that they have enrolled my son at anew university i.e BAU University of U.K., as tie-up with Wales University has lapsed. However, when I enquired from Chennai branch (not disclosing my actual identity)

Now I need full refund of paid amount i.e. Rs. 3, 000, 00/-(three lakhs) and compensation of Rs. 10, 000, 00/-( Ten Lakhs) for spoiling my son’s 2 year valuable time.
