Whirlpool – poor service by centre and higher charges

My AC was taken by personnel from whirlpool service Centre on 27.4.14 for replacement of fan motor on my complaint vide SR number DL0414019522. > > The engineer of the company verbally promised to deliver back the AC after replacement of motor by 29.4.14. However, even after lot of follow ups, the AC was delivered on 6.5.14. > > I noticed fire like smell in AC and I had informed the same to the company and their service Centre on 7.5.14. The service Centre and their engineer promised to check the AC on 7.5.14 or in the morning of 8.5.14. > > However no one checked AC till 16.5.14 inspite of my repeated reminders. I have intimated the compliant to the company on their site as well as their email id. No reply received from company. I had again lodged complaint with the company on 16.5.14 video SR number DL0514013992. The engineer visited to examine the AC on 17.5.14 and he told me that fan motor of some other model has been installed in my AC and the service Centre has again taken my AC for replacement of fresh fan motor. > > It may be noted that I had faced same issue last year and fan motor had been replaced that time as well. However, on account of limited warranty of the replacement motor I have to again incur expense of Rs. 4500 this year. This is huge cost for just replacing the fan motor and it seems whirlpool is installing sub standard motors and exploiting consumers. Even last year I had to bear a lot of inconvenience in severe summer weather on account of delay in fan motor replacement and false promise of delivery date.

I should be suitably compensated by whirlpool for harassment on account of the above points and the company should be fined for their negligence and arrogance.
