Whirlpool – Scratches – Mfg defect charge extra for replacement

Dear Team I, Gaurav Jogi purchased a whirlpool refrigerator premium 205 on 10/05/2014 from Shakti Ezone pvt ltd. Same was delivered to my place on 13/05/14. I was instructed by delivery man, not to start the refrigerator and that demo person from whirlpool will come and start the same. On 14/05/14, when I opened the door of the refrigerator, I found that there was number of scratches on the inner white side portion of the refrigerator and the piece was damaged. Same was confirmed by whirlpool technician Mr. Mayur who came for Demo. Than I called up the shakti in front of whirlpool technician Mr Mayur for replacement. But to my surprise, Shakti (dealer) person replied that they will charge extra for replacement of the same. I was reluctant to pay any extra amount as why should I pay as it is company’s fault. Replacement of the refrigerator within 24 hours or refund of my entire amount paid 13620 (13500 refrigerator price + 120 delivery charges) with interest and also sum of Rs 5000 for mental harassment.
