I bought Yo Bike Electron model four years ago. There is no service centre nearby ( Ambawadi area). Service station near Memnagar fire station closed down more than a year ago. Recently, the rear wheel stopped moving and I spoke to one of their servie guy. He has suggested replacing the motor. Cost Rs. 10,000. Even after this there is no assurance that no further replacement of any other part is not required. In all these years the bike has run for less than 1000 km. If a motor require repalcement this soon then my Yo bike is equivalent to a SUV in terms of cost of running. They say repalcement of battery & motor controller (if required) would be about Rs. 15000. In the eventuality of all this replacements the cost would be Rs. 25,000 when a new on can be bought for around the same amount (after subsidy). This is ridiculous. Can the company depute somebody to assess the problem & to give an estimate of the cost of putting the bike on road.
