45 days old micromax A116 not covered in warranty

Im pasting my mail thread below to explain the problem I im facing with my new micromax phone and how the company is reverting to my concerns. Sent: 20 September 2013 17:43 To: mzmmxservice@gmail.com; info@micromaxinfo.com Subject: Complain Canvas HD A116- Screen flickering Hi, I purchased your phone Micromax Canvas HD A116 from flipkart.com (Order ID: OD30805082508; [IMEI/Serial No: 911304254981628, 911304255491627]) on the 5th of August 2013. Today at 4:30pm, while I was setting up the phone for charging using the USB cable from my laptop on my work desk, the screen started flickering. I decided to reboot my phone and the display went darker and started flickering further. I took the phone to the Micromax mobile zone, sector 5, Dwarka, Delhi that is right across the street from my office at about 4:45pm. Hitesh, ASC Manager told me that the screen needs to be replaced and the phone would not be considered under warranty hence I would be charged for the entire amount. The phone has never faced any physical pressure or has never had a fall as claimed by him. The only logical explanation is that the phone might have manufacturing defects. I request an explanation for this. Kindly guide me where and how I could get my phone repaired? Note: the phone is new, barely 45 days old and has never been physically abused

ubject: Re: Complain Canvas HD A116- Screen flickering T hanks for replying, I’m writing to you only because Hitesh suggested that he doesn’t have the understanding and authority help me with my defective phone and you are the authority who could resolve my problem. Like I mentioned the phone was barely 45days old, and was appropriately delicately handled. The logical explanation for the malfunction can only be a manufacturing defect. I should be demanding a replacement for my handset but all I need is a perfectly functional phone. Hitesh suggested changing the screen at the cost of Rs 4000/- I do not wish to pay for rectifying a manufacturing defect. And what is the assurance that the same problem wouldn’t crop up if I pay and get this fixed. Do you expect your customers to pay so much every 45 days? Micromax is a very successful upcoming Indian brand and I am a supporter; hence I would prefer not to pursue this further with the consumer courts. In the case you consider Micromax mobile zone , Dwarka to be incompetent to take up my case, kindly guide me to any other service center that would be able to rectify the problem.
