Hi, I ordered a necklace ( priced at around INR 800) from Done By None (DBN) (http://www.donebynone.com/) in October. ( order no. 141012063301). However, the necklace was broken. Since there was no helpline number listed on the website I complained about the defective product on their twitter and Facebook page. I was asked to drop in an email by one of the company representative on their FB page which I did immediately. The DBN team got in touch me after 11 days asking me to send a picture of the defective necklace post which they would decide if they could replace the necklace or not. On October 30th I received a call from delivery service telling me he has come from Done By None to pick up the defective necklace. Its been almost a month now but neither the necklace has been replaced by the DBN team nor has my money been refunded. I have dropped numerous emails to the DBN team but they haven’t reverted to me. I have posted my complaint on their FB page too but in vain. My complaint number is #1574. This is the second time that the DBN team has shown gross disregard for consumer rights. Previously, I had purchased a pair of shoes from the same website ( June 25, 2013; case no :7915). The heel of the shoes came off within a month rendering them useless. When I raised the issue with the DBN team they dismissed my complaint stating this a minor issue and can happen in high end shoes too. I spent almost INR 1000 on those shoes and didn’t expect cheap quality shoes from them. Delivering cheap and defective products to customers is a gross violation of following ethical business practices and I wish strictest of action to be taken against the company. I demand strict action to be taken against a brand which has shown gross disregard for following ethical business practices. I need a complete refund alongwith compensation for the harassment meted by the brand to me.
