Purchased a 500g packed puttu podi(rice powder)from local retailer named Pottayil Bhagavathi Store,Eroor.Brand name mentioned in the pack is Ponkathir and its address and other details mentioned above.On the reverse side of the pack no mrp was mentioned,packed on dt is absent,batch no missing and bhence best before is also not able to make out.So I purchased one more pack and found only month and year of packing and not date.MRP is just mentione as 30 and not even rupee is mentioned.They have mentioned FSSAI No.which is11312007001267.On customer care helpline No. place instead of cell no a land line no is given which was not answered when I tried to contact.

The mandatory disclosures like dt of mfr,price etc should have been printed not in casual way.It should be clear,non erasable and in the absence of it,customer is likely to get cheated in many ways.In terms of price,since no mfr dt is mentioned, retailer get chance to sell the product till the stock exhausts which will lead to customer consuming expired food product and thereby exposing to risk of health and life.When packe on is printed,naturally the dt of packing should be mentioned and not month which again gives chance to the mfrer and retailer to sell the product for upto seven months instead of 6 months.ie a product packed on 1st feb carries only packed on feb 2015.Eventhough it mentions best before 6 months from the date of packing,no date is mentioned.I verified their website to know more about the company but nothing much related to the process quality or product quality details are available.
