I have booked a scooter ‘ activa -het ‘ on 31st dec. 2014. the scooter was delivered on 15.01.2015 with ch. no. 2met655459 and engine no. et1653000. i have paid full amount of rs.58782/- inclusive of insurance and rto reg. charges etc. the insurance policy no. is 3005/2010323401/00/0000023745 dt. 15.01.2015 is valid from 15.01.15 to 14.01.16. on 1st june i have received a letter for cancellation of policy wef 21.5.15. i have contacted icici as we as scooter dealer but no response. i could not understand as i have paid for insurance premium how they can cancel the policy.i have also taken the delivery of scooter. insurance co. have written my name on the policy as kamlesh c. lathia instead of kamlesh j. lathia which i have got corrected from the icici. the policy paper is attached along with scooter delivery note, letter from icici lombard for cancellation,
i was shocked to hear that i was driving as well as in possession of vehicle without insurance cover. the icici lombard told me that they have received a request from scooter dealer for cancellation. scooter dealer could not hear me.the negligence by the scooter dealer as well as icici lombard which was resulted in cancellation of policy without any instruction from my side is not forgivable. .i have frequently visited the dealer. i suffered the mental torture and waste of time which i could not measured in terms of money.
