Dear sir I had confirmation in flight no Air India AI 447 from Srinagar to Leh Dated.18 th September Airline PNR:AI-Y4WKG From Srinagar to Leh. I along with my wife check in at around 8am.we were told that flight will fly as per schedule .so we also got security check and waiting for boarding the flight,but just before the boarding time we were told that it is delayed by one hour.we had no option but to wait for the boarding for the flight but we were surprised that even after one hour delay the boarding for flight was not announced. Since we already had gone through the security check we were not allowed to go out,rightly so for security reason,and no Air India official were present there to explain us when the flight will take off from Srinagar.After we all passenger made this point to the security at around 11.30am and asked him to summon the Air India official and let us know the exact position when the flight will take off from Srinagar to Leh ? we were surprised to learn from them that flight is cancelled.Since there is only one flight weekly to Leh from Srinagar.and no other air lines operate on that route we were shocked as our total arrangement in Leh ie our package trip was arranged and full payment was made to the tour operator. When we asked them what is alternative ,the officer in charge told us that they will be able to know only at 4pm if they can arrange alternative flight next day ,in spite of our asking for some alternative arrangement they said they cannot do anything. They told us that for economy class passenger they are not obliged to offer accommodation .but on persuasion they agreed to give accommodation in Hotel but were not willing to commit if they can arrange flight next day ,as there was no schedule flight on next day we were forced to travel by Road As I have completed my trip and return back to Chennai so I am approaching you for the compensation. I am residing in Chennai and Traveled to Srinagar from chennai on 17 th september by Go air Airline PNR -G8-H87TIT The consequences by traveling by road was as follow We were force to stay in Hotel At Kargil as the driver was not willing to travel in night ,rightly so considering the safety,and we have to pay RS.3000/-for staying in Hotel We reached Leh at around 2pm on 19 th september,our one day Hotel package ie 18 th September at Hotel grand dragon cost us Rs10500/-as we had booking on that day and paid the advance to our travel agent.hotel booking confirmation is 7419 hotel grand dragon Since we reached at around 2pm on 19 th September ,our tour schedule got change and we could not join the trip of 19 September and we have to stay at the Hotel by spending another Rs.10500/- We had the booking of they vehicle Innova which we could not utilise for two day and have to pay for the same a sum of Rs.5000/- So our total direct loss is Rs.29000/- And we had mental agony apart from the cash loss so I request you to compensate me For the same
