Air India – Delay and misconnection

My flight AI102 was delayed from New York by over 24 hours on Dec 17, 2013. I was scheduled to undergo medical procedures which got delayed by 2 days. When we boarded on the flight on Dec 18th, we were only checked in until Delhi whereas my ticket was until Mumbai. Air India was aware of the delay and passengers who had connections from Delhi but still they did not accommodate them on the next connecting flights out of Delhi. Our connecting flight out of Delhi was after 10 hours yet they did not provide any accommodation to passengers. We had to stay on the terminal all the time and only provided dinner. I wrote a complaint on-line using their on-line complaint form and also sent a complaint to their frequent flyer department as I am a member of Flying Returns on Dec 24th but no response from them yet.

I do not want a free ticket voucher or free additional miles to my frequent flyer program that’s for sure. May be they can provide a better service guarantee on my flight back to New York on Jan 17th and also maybe allow a free date change to Jan 21st.
