Air India – Non Refund of Cancelled Tickets

1. I booked an award ticket on the 31st of January 2012 for Air India Website online for travel on 1st of Feb 2012, from Mumbai to Bengaluru on AI 603 departing 0615 hrs. 2. I was shocked to know that the booking has been made but the system has not generated eticket number and hence I cannot travel. 3. Immediately i had to purchase a revenue ticket from the counter for afternoon flight and then had to go to the duty manager to change to AI 603. 4. Since I was in the “Q” for more than 45 minutes, I hardly had any time to go out and purchase the ticket and come inside the terminal go to the airport manager and change the flight. I had to literally run and catch the flight. 5. Because of system error of Air India, I had to go through all the Hassel and also purchase on the spot ticket at a much higher price.

1. Refund of my money paid as taxes for booking of award ticket. 2. Refund of points as they did not honor the ticket and neither refunded by frequent flyer points. 3. Refund of money for ticket that i had to purchase on the spot. 4. monetary compensation for the hassel, delay and followup i have gone through for nearly more than 2 years.
