I have been using airtel for the past 4 years now and they have created a monopoly in the market and do whatever they want and however they want. I use the airtel landline, airtel IPtv, and broadband service. i wanted to change my plan to a combo plan. the customer care representative told me that we have to disconnect your plan and we will give you the new plan but Rs. 3500 will be charged for reissuing modem and set top box. which is what they when u are not a airtel customer and you dont have the hardware, i being a previous owner of all these things should not have to pay 3500 Rs. for the things that i already have and airtel should not charge so much for just changing settings in their server. this is a thing that can be done remotely. in my belief this is extortion. Secondly, my plan was old and when ever i ask them they tell i have a unlimited plan but they cap my internet usage at 8Gb and the reduce my speed and i never agreed to do so , i was never informed of such changes it was just changed. so , when airtel wants money from you they will change every piece of hardware in your home and charge you for it. and when they have to save money they can just do it with a flip of a switch. I just want that current customers should not be treated as new customers. they should be allowed to change their plan according to their wish.
