Airtel Digital TV – Selling Defected Set Top Box

Complaint for Selling Defected Set Top Box Customer ID No.3014974382. Dear Sir, It is submitted that I got installed an Airtel DTH connection at my home on 24-7-2014 at 8.00 a.m. with annual subscription after payment of Rs.4200/- to the Distributor of Airtel at Rohtak M/s Laxmi Telecom, Sonepat Stand, Rohtak under customer ID No. 3014974382. The STB of this connection stopped working in the morning of 25-7-2014. I complained to the Distributor M/s Laxmi Telecom, Rohtak, and he blamed me that I punched the STB due to which the STB damaged and then he charged Rs.400/- from me. After lot of waiting the STB was replaced after a week on 30-7-2014. Then, again the replaced STB stopped working on 08-08-2014. I visited the Distributor and informed the position. He sent a boy not dealing with Engineering / repairing on 12-08-2014 with a STB to replace but that was also out of order. Then the boy came to me ‘Mr. Kamal’ took my New STB, Adapter and the Sim Card with him asking that he will get the same ‘set right’ in the office and will be back in the evening, but he did not come neither in the evening of 12-08-2014 nor on 13-08-2014 and till date i.e. 15-8-2014 a week time. Then after waiting for two days I called on Mobile No.9996098960 to the Distributor for establishing the STB but the lady attended the phone informed that still they have no STB to replace and when they received I will be informed. Looking to the service of that company it seems that in the hope of good service from Airtel DTH, I have purchased a lot of headache making investment of a huge amount and looking no early solution from your Company, I compelled to restore back the services of Cable Operator on payment of Rs.1200/- + Rs.250/- monthly rent due to which I have clearly suffered a loss of Rs.4200/- paid to your company. So hoping an action from your side against Airtel DTH officers and its Distributor I am sending you this complaint. With regards Raj Kumar Customer ID No.3014974382. 9996049XXX

Suffering harassment and economic loss I want that a good quality Set Top Box should be installed and due to loss of Rs.1200/-+ 250 x 12 rent = Rs.3000/- suffered by me compensation of Rs.10000/- should be paid by the Company.
