Customer ID: 3004824367 The Remote of our TV set-top box became defective on July 2 2013. Thanks to this company our TV has become useless for almost 2 weeks. Airtel did not attend to our FOUR complaints. The Remote is covered under a one-year warrantee. After a week the remote was replaced with a second-hand one. The new one will cost Rs.350/- we were told. After much discussion on Social media (Facebook), Airtel agreed to give us a new one if we pay Rs.125/- for visit of a technician to deliver it. Airtel reply on Facebook on July 11, 2013) was as follows: Airtel India wrote: “Hi Mr. Vijan, as confirmed earlier, we will replace ur remote with the new one, free of cost. However, you need to pay rs. 125 for a technician visit. Thanks **Rakesh When I refused to pay this unfair charge of Rs.125/-. And I pointed out that it was not in Terms of Warrantee, I received no reply. Airtel tried every trick to avoid honouring Warrantee or extract money fir it, and having failed, is now trying the levy of unfair charges.
Watching TV not satisfactory
A remote to be delivered immediately, if necessary by courier, without any charge.
