Airtel DTH Balance Deduction

I recharged my Airtel DTH in 26th Apr 2013 for 12 mth, with benefit of 45 days extra, so total validity was till end of May 2014. In the month of Mar I wanted to stop the service for 30 days due to exam, and Airtel started taking charges to stop the service as well. I had no balance of Rs 30 as I paid for full year. The srv desk changed my package to lower package to get balance in my account to stop the srv. Now I here that since package is changed that additional benefit of 45 days is lapsed. They should have informed me that while changing the package.

I lost 45 days of Airtel DTH service that came to me for full 1 year payment. How can one say benefit comes only after 12th month is over.
