My Mobile Number 999988xxx got disconnected from Airtel due to some billing issue on 22”nd July,2014. Airtel asked me to settle bill to start number.I have made necessary payment to close billing issue.But when I reached out to Airtel for number activation they told me that this is a MNP number and it was port in to Airtel from Vodafone few years back,So Airtel cannot reissue this number.After 3 months this number will be automatically release to Vodafone.Now I can take this number only from Vodafone after 3 months.So I have to wait for 3 months. I reached out to Vodafone after 3 months,they told me this number is not yet release from Airtel hence can’t be re-issue. I reached out to Airtel again, every time they keep telling me this number is release from Airtel. After many fallow up,Airtel agreed that this number is still not release from Airtel. So I asked Airtel to either release this number to Vodafone for re-issue or they reissue to me from Airtel only,if it is not yet released. But after many fallows up they have not even release my number to Vodafone nor reissue to me. According to rule any MNP number should be release to original vender after 3 months of disconnection. But they did not release it. When I asked them for the reason they are not providing any reason. Some time they same it is not with us it’s with Vodafone only, some time they say we don’t know where is number is, sometime they say it’s with us, but we don’t know what exact the problem is, system is not allowing as to reissue. As this number belong to me and Vodafone Airtel don”t have any right to hold this number without any reason. It’s been 9 months, I am running between Airtel and Vodafone, But my problem is not solve it. I am using this number form last many years, All my bank account numbers, gas connection, PF account and many many other Important accounts are linked with this number.
T am using this number since last 8 years, My all bank account are lined to this number, So i am not able to make any transaction.
