Airtel PostPaid Billing Continues After Disconnection

I Had a postpaid connection. Which i stopped using in November. And subsequently requested to close on 14 Dec 2015. Airtel sent back a message that your request will be completed in 7 days. I received a call for clearing my outstanding of 1700 which i did on 17 Dec 2015. Now after 2 months airtel is calling and saying i have to pay the bill since my number was never closed. The request number for original request is 66716538 . They said it will be closed in 7 days. But did not action on it and now harassing the customer with payment calls. Please help in resolving the same. Why i should be paying the bill for services which i had already requested for termination. and there is not even a single second usage by me after my closure request.

The number closed. And no payment for period after my closure request. That is if there is any outstanding till 21 – Dec 2015 , i am more then happy to pay. But it should not be asked to pay rest of the amount after that date.
