Amazon Shopping Delivered Pampers / Diapers instead of Laptop

I am a student of NIT Kurukshetra, booked a MacBook Air laptop from Amazon on 15 February 2016. The delivery was not provided at Kurukshetra, so I gave the delivery address at Delhi, where my cousin sister resides. The parcel was delivered at Delhi on 20 February 2016. Due to the tensed situation in Haryana,I could visit Delhi only on 24 February and when I opened the parcel, I was shocked to find the diapers(Pampers) instead of laptop.A friend of mine who had a similar bad experience had advised me to open parcel always with a video of the unpacking box as measure of precaution. I immediately rang customer care and lodged my complaint with the proof of video of unpacking the box who assured that they will investigate the matter within 48 hours. But it was delayed and customer care was not helpful at all. I did get a new laptop on 4 March 2016 which is now pricing about 4000 lesser than what I ordered.I talked the customer care about that as well and they advised me to cancel this order and reorder again. I could not do so as this incident has already affected my studies and that would have further delayed the things for me.

This incidence caused a lot of mental tension to me and my parents. This is a huge amount for a middle class family and apart from that it affected my studies too. We have placement season going on in colleges for summer internships. I couldn’t prepare well for any of the companies, my tests screwed and I had to quit one of the work from home internship that I was doing. Apart from it, this also caused a lot of physical fatigue and the travel expenses and other miscellaneous charges as I had to travel Delhi again, despite of requesting them over and over again to make the delivery to the Kurukshetra the next time.

I got the laptop but this incidence caused a lot of physical torture to me and mental torture to both me and my family. As a relief, I want 1 lac rupees to be given to me.
