An unresponsive approach by Insaraf.com

This is a step by step guide for anyone who wants to be cheated by Saraf Furniture into buying from them . Would like to share my experience through the series of attached photographs and the detailed version of our experience – Using my personal fb wall since they delete your posts and block you from writing on their fb page when you post genuine ( read negative ) feedback about their products and customer support : 1. Ordered a Solid Wood Cubox Sofa Set – 3 + 1 + 1 ( 5 Seater ) / Walnut  ( SKU SCB-622-5-W) via order #INSF102592133 for a one time full advance payment of Rs 44999 . Happily receiving this payment at one go is the only thing that Saraf Furniture has been great at during the entire episode . One Mr. Punit even called us after their usual calling window of 6:30 pm to understand our requirement and suggest the right choice while we were making the purchase decision.Subsequently , when we tried to register our grievance with the same gentleman , we were told he was in a meeting/on leave / Saraf Furniture has a policy of only taking calls till 6:30 pm ] 2. The sofa set and associated cushions arrived on 17th August – was promised assembly on 17th itself, as we were supposed to leave Pune on 18th. Didn’t happen, My wife had to cancel her travel . 3. Finally assembly happened on 19th . While opening the package and assembly of the sofa set ( by the carpenter appointed by Saraf Furniture) , several defects were seen in terms of wood chipped off , faded cushions and several scratches and poor polishing of the wood. Informed them with photographs – were assured that repair / return action will be promptly taken .

Have been calling them almost every single day till then , only to be left false assurances everytime. There is this agency EASYFix which they have tied up with . Twice, a carpenter from EASYFix has visited and they have subsequently confirmed that the quotation for repair has been shared with Saraf Furniture , details of which are not shared with us . later , after repeated requests , we were told that orfder no. 61820 was shared with us . 5. Upon calling Saraf Furniture to understand what was being done post the EASYFix carpenter visit ( first time on Sep 2 ) , we were told that we had confirmed that we dont need any repairs and that our issue was resolved . Can you beat that !! 6. Post the 2nd carpenter visit today , called the Saraf Furniture helpline yet again and talked to one Mr. Aman, who has once again given us an assurance that the issue will be looked into promptly . In between , many calls have been put on hold and actually been disconnected when we have asked to be connected to Mr. Puneet . Incidentally , when one visits the FAQ section of their website , in the “policy ” sub – section, they proudly mention that they have : have ” a very very Simple Policy for any Damage or Defect” 1. Attempt a repair for smaller starches etc. 2. If not repaiarable Return/replacement/refund.
