I have a home loan account with Axis bank Panaji Goa( Axis Bank Home Loan Office, Floor 3, Gera Imperium -2, Panaji Goa) of 90 Lacs. I have regularly serviced it over last 5 years . Loan ACC NO. PHR018000498359 But I have severe grievances to report on the kind of operation in place at this branch of Axis bank(Axis Bank Home Loan Office, Floor 3, Gera Imperium -2, Panaji Goa) in Panaji Goa.. We have been trying to close this home loan account for last one year due to a better interest rate on offer elsewhere, but Axis bank Panaji has made it impossible for us to so. For last one year, every time we have been told that there is no manager and no one is authorized for a closure till a new manager comes. Its been 12 months now and still the same excuse is being given!!! Every time we go for a statement, we are given excuses like nobody is in office, printer is not working. We have to travel 30 kms to make it to the branch itself. Last week I have sternly put forward a request to close the loan account. But I am being told, even to get a list of documents mortgaged with the bank, I have to put a request and it will take 15 days to come. And Moreover, after I close the Loan Account, My mortgage papers will show up in 15 working days because they have it stored in Mumbai office and they cant do anything about it!!! A bank official Tina Fernandes(ASL 25279) has addressed to us on this claims. I have tried explaining them about the bank switchover but they say that bank does not entertain any other bank takeovers where infact, Axis bank themselves had taken over this loan from the State Bank of India. Every approach from the bank which has made us a good offer for takeover, has been met with hostility and non cooperation. I have informed the customer care office several times of this harassment but to no avail. I request you to help me out on this unlawful turn of events and also, as its been one year and our tolerance has grown thin and we are missing out on a very good interest rate being offered to us by another nationalized bank.
