Birla Sun Life Insurance Policy details was not described incompletely while selling by the agent. My mother is putting up alone and the agent thus misguided her and forceful sold the policy. However my mother was constantly harassed each month as she used to get calls from the company stating her policy premium amount is not paid .Though she has never defaulted in paying her premium and has it even in her bank pass book entries as a proof. Finally after so much inconvenience my mother contacted the agent and asked her to to resolve the issue.The agent after so much of chase and requests took the pass book of my mother to show it to the company as a proof. However the issue still didn’t get resolved and mother continued to get those calls. Finally she decided to surrender the policy as she was unable to attend those calls and the continuous harassment made by the agent as well.
Before buying the policy she was told that the day she will want to surrender her policy, the total premium amount paid till then will be returned back and her policy will come to an end. However when my mother decided to end the policy after paying for 13 months premium continuously, she did get only Rs. 5000 as a returned money. The balance 27500 is yet to be received. We have tried to raise it with the agent but she has stopped to even answer our calls. Even calling at the company’s customer care number, it all goes in vain and there is no resolution provided yet.Please help us in getting back the due amount asap as we have really tired of lodging the complaints but have not received any resolution. This is hard earn money of my mother. Mother’s name: Mrs. Madhu Ahuja,Policy number is :004691064. First premimum paid on 30th Jan 2011 and last Feb 2012.
