BlackBerry – Insurance company rejected claim

I purchased a new mobile phone: BlackBerry Bold 9900 on 22/04/2012 along with extended warranty of 1 year. Blackberry company provides 18 months of warranty on their product, which means total 30 months warranty.Mobile phone was repaired on 18/09/2014 and claimed for insurance on 29/09/2014. But insurance company has rejected my application stating that they are not sure for the Blackberry company warranty validity period to consider it either from date of manufacturing or date of sell/purchase. Please help me. It would be highly appreciable for the valuable guidance to resolve this issue.
